Organ & Gregorian Chant in the Black Forest

The fine acoustics in the monumental space of St. Blaise’s, the former church of one of the most important Benedictine abbeys located deep in Germany’s Black Forest, is perfect for the singing of the Schola Gregoriana and the Gregoian themes heard on the 1912 Schwarz 3-74 organ, restored (an essay about the restoration of this organ appears in Contributions to the Aesthetic of the Organ, Book II, in the "Books" section of this website). Bernhard Marx is the organist and the Schola Gregoriana is directed by Bernhard Schmid.
