Virtuoso organist and composer Gaston Litaize was a major figure of 20th-century musical France and the teacher of such current luminaries as Olivier Latry and Eric Lebrun, who plays for this CD on the Cavaillé-Coll at the church where he is titulaire, Saint-Antoine-des- Quinze-Vingts in Paris. Marie-Ange Leurent, his wife, also plays, and Michel Piquemal directs the Choeur Regional Vittoria d’Ile de France in this fine presentation of works composed by Litaize.
