Charles Tournemire: Complete Recordings Tournemire Plays the Cavaillé-Coll at St. Clotilde Rare recordings from 1930 and 1931 allow us to hear not only Tournemire himself playing, but also provide the only surviving sounds of the organ Franck played on before it was rebuilt in 1933. It is not easy to listen past the scratchy early recordings, but doing so yields a wealth of insight into the improvisations of Tournemire and the compositions of his teacher Franck.
